CLINICAL CASE STUDIES

Preterm Infant with Intraventricular Hemorrhage and Brain Injury

Infant born by spontaneous vaginal delivery was admitted to the NICU and diagnosed with Gram Negative E. coli sepsis. A non-sedated MRI was completed on Day of Life 15, using the Embrace® Neonatal MRI System located inside the NICU.

Extensive Birth Trauma with HIE

After severe encephalopathy was noted following delivery, an early MRI scan was completed using the Embrace® Neonatal MRI System on Day of Life 1, while the infant was still undergoing therapeutic hypothermia to determine the extent of brain injury.
