CASE EMB-211

Partial Prolonged HIE

After moderate encephalopathy was detected following emergency Cesarean delivery, an unsedated MRI Scan was completed in the NICU using the Embrace® Neonatal MRI
System on Day of Life 4, after rewarming.

CASE EMB-212

A well-respected and recognized leader in neuroscience research and academic activities, including mentorship, Dr. Inder will serve as Chair of the inaugural Scientific Advisory Board. She is a dual boarded child neurologist and neonatologist who undertakes clinical and translational research in the nature and timing of brain injury and alterations in brain development using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques. Under her leadership, her laboratory aims to conduct clinical investigations of treatments and preventive strategies that may improve outcomes in high risk infants. They strive to have a means of accurate, early diagnosis of brain injury or altered brand development. Dr. Inder has published over 200 peer-reviewed scientific papers.

Extensive Birth Trauma with HIE

After severe encephalopathy was noted following delivery, an early MRI scan was completed using the Embrace® Neonatal MRI System on Day of Life 1, while the infant was still undergoing therapeutic hypothermia to determine the extent of brain injury.

CASE EMB-214

Preterm Infant with Intraventricular Hemorrhage and Brain Injury

Infant born by spontaneous vaginal delivery was admitted to the NICU and diagnosed with Gram Negative E. coli sepsis. A non-sedated MRI was completed on Day of Life 15, using the Embrace® Neonatal MRI System located inside the NICU.

CASE EMB-215

Late Preterm with Unknown White Matter Injury

Following a complicated pregnancy with prolonged rupture of membranes at 40 hours prior to delivery, the first cranial ultrasound on Day of Life 2 showed a Grade III intraventricular hemorrhage bilaterally. A non-sedated MRI was completed on Day of Life 30, using the Embrace® Neonatal MRI System located inside the NICU.
